Who doesn't love Alvin and the Chipmunks? Christmas will be different this year because SuperBoy is going to be 15 months old and it fully mobile. Yep, his first Christmas where he can rip, tear, maim and destroy pretty boxes at will. The Christmas tree is a bit of a problem, since dangling, shiny things have the same effect on the boy as they would a cat. So our tree is half decorated and no hooks, just in case. We may buy some puffy, kid-safe ornaments, but I'm not sure I want to encourage pulling stuff off the tree.
As far as the boy's health, well, it's still a bit of an issue. No fevers and the allergic reaction seems to have gone away, but he sill has very very sensitive skin. To the point where you can lightly scratch your fingernail on the back of his hand and it will leave a mark for 15 minutes. This is new since the reaction to penicillin and the docs tell us to "wait and see". Sound familiar? In any case, it appears that this is the last of the health issues (at least for now) and the boy is happy and healthy.
We're headed to the Great White North for Christmas this year. I can honestly say I'm looking forward to it, since the last time we got up there was the 4th of July. Everyone's excited to see the boy and I'm excited to watch him play in the snow for the first time.
